tatphalā bahudhā vā tāḥ phalantīva (ā.ti/ mahāphalāḥ /
dhmānāddhamanyaḥ sravaṇāt srotāṃsi saraṇātsirāḥ //
Yielding that fruit, or branching off in many ways, they are of great fruit;
[they are called] dhamanīs due to pulsation, srotases due to exudation, and sirās due to flowing.
