tasyāyurvedasyāṅgānyaṣṭau tadyathā kāyacikitsā śālākyaṃ śalyāpahartṛkaṃ viṣagaravairodhikapraśamanaṃ bhūtavidyā kaumārabhṛtyakaṃ rasāyanaṃ vājīkaraṇamiti //

That Āyurveda has eight branches, namely: internal medicine, [diseases of the] supra-clavicular region, extraction of foreign bodies, alleviation of poisoning, slow poisoning, and incompatible combinations, the science of spirits, pediatrics and obstetrics, rejuvenation therapy, and virilisation therapy.
