nahi vistarasya pramāṇamasti, na cāpyatisaṃkṣepo 'alpabuddhīnāṃ sāmarthyāyopakalpate, tasmādanatisaṃkṣepeṇānativistareṇa copadiṣṭāḥ/

Indeed, there is no limit to elaboration, nor does excessive brevity suffice for the competence of those of dull intellect; therefore, they have been taught with neither excessive brevity nor excessive elaboration.
