The Compendium of Caraka 1.5.10

1.5.10

vallūraṃ śuṣkaśākāni śālūkāni bisāni ca/
nābhyasedgauravānmāṃsaṃ kṛśaṃ naivopayojayet//

One should not habitually consume dried meat, dried vegetables, lotus tubers, and lotus stalks, / because of their heaviness; nor should one ever use meat of an emaciated animal.
