evameva vikāro 'api taruṇaḥ sādhyate sukham/
vivṛddhaḥ sādhyate kṛcchrādasādhyo vā 'api jāyate//
in the very same way, an illness when tender is cured with ease;
grown severe, it is cured with difficulty or even becomes incurable.
