tasmāt puruṣo matimānātmanaḥ śārīreṣveva yogakṣemakareṣu prayateta viśeṣeṇa; śarīraṃ hyasya mūlaṃ, śarīramūlaśca puruṣo bhavati//

Therefore, an intelligent person should especially exert himself in bodily [matters] that bring security and well-being; for his body is the foundation, and the person has the body as his foundation.
