atha khalu trīṇi dravyāṇi nātyupayuñjītādhikamanyebhyo dravyebhyaḥ; tadyathā --- pippalī, kṣāraḥ, lavaṇamiti//

Now, one should not use three substances in excessive quantity beyond other substances; namely: pippalī, alkali, and salt.
