evamitareṣāmapi vyādhīnāṃ vidānaviparītaṃ bheṣajaṃ bhavati; yathā---apatarpaṇanimittānāṃ vyādhīnāṃ nāntareṇa pūraṇamasti śāntiḥ, tathā pūraṇanimittānāṃ vyādhīnāṃ nāntareṇāpatarpaṇam//

Likewise, for other diseases also, the medicine is contrary to the etiology; just as for diseases caused by reducing therapy there is no relief without nourishing therapy, so for diseases caused by nourishing therapy there is no relief without reducing therapy.
