atha vākyapraśaṃsā---vākyapraśaṃsā nāma yathā khalvasminnarthe tvanyūnam, anadhikam, arthavat, anapārthakam, aviruddham, adhigatapadārthaṃ ceti yattadvākyamananuyojyamiti praśasyate//

Now, excellence of statement: excellence of statement in this subject is that statement which is praised as unquestionable because it is non-deficient, non-superfluous, meaningful, non-incoherent, non-contradictory, and has readily understood word-meanings.
