teṣāmekaguṇaḥ pūrvo guṇavṛddhiḥ pare pare/
pūrvaḥ pūrvaguṇaścaiva kramaśo guṇiṣu smṛtaḥ//
Among them, the first has one quality; each subsequent one has an increase of qualities; / each preceding quality is remembered in succession in the bearers of qualities.
