mataṃ tattvavidāmetadyasmāttasmāt sa kāraṇam/
kriyopabhoge bhūtānāṃ nityaḥ puruṣasaṃjñakaḥ//
Because this is the opinion of knowers of reality, therefore he is the cause; / in the undertaking and enjoyment of living beings, the eternal [entity] is designated as the person.
