4.4.14_4

tadyathā---klaibyaṃ bhīrutvamavaiśāradyaṃ moho 'anavasthānamadhogurutvamasahanaṃ śaithilyaṃ mārdavaṃ garbhāśayabījabhāgastathāyuktāni cāparāṇi strīkarāṇi, ato viparītāni puruṣakarāṇi, ubhayabhāgāvayavā napuṃsakakarāṇi bhavanti//

That is to say: weakness, timidity, lack of confidence, delusion, instability, heaviness in the lower part of the body, intolerance, laxity, softness, the seed-part for the uterus, and other things endowed with similar qualities produce a female; those contrary to these produce a male; and parts belonging to both shares produce a neuter.
