striyā hyāpannagarbhāyāstridhā rasaḥ pratipadyate-svaśarīrapuṣṭaye, stanyāya, garbhavṛddhaye ca /

For in a pregnant woman, chyle is distributed in three ways: for the nourishment of her own body, for breast milk, and for the growth of the embryo.
