tatra yāni puruṣamanāśritāni tānyupadeśato yuktitaśca parīkṣeta, puruṣasaṃśrayāṇi punaḥ prakṛtito vikṛtitaśca//

Among them, those that do not reside in the person should be examined by authoritative instruction and reasoning; those, however, that reside in the person [should be examined] through constitutional nature and pathological alteration.
