na tvariṣṭasya jātasya nāśo 'asti maraṇādṛte/
maraṇaṃ cāpi tannāsti yannāriṣṭapuraḥsaram//
but once an ariṣṭa has arisen, there is no destruction of it apart from death; / and there is no death that is not preceded by an ariṣṭa.
