yathā 'amarāṇāmamṛtaṃ yathā bhogavatāṃ sudhā/
tathā 'abhavanmaharṣīṇāṃ rasāyanavidhiḥ purā//
Just as ambrosia is to the immortals, just as nectar is to the serpent-dwellers of Bhogavatī,
so formerly was the procedure of rasāyana to the great seers.
