yathoktaguṇānāmāmalakānāṃ sahasraṃ piṣṭasvedanavidhinā payasa ūṣmaṇā susvinnamanātapaśuṣkamanasthi cūrṇayet/

One should take a thousand āmalakas possessing the stated qualities, steam them thoroughly by the steam of milk according to the method for steaming flour, dry them in the shade, and powder them without seeds.
