One should steam a thousand āmalakīs possessing the qualities previously described in a fresh palāśa trough having a lid, which does not emit steam, over fires of wild cow-dung; when they are well-steamed and cooled, their stones removed, and crushed, one should combine them with an āḍhaka of powder of pippalī, an āḍhaka of powder of viḍaṅga grains, one and a half āḍhakas of sugar, and two āḍhakas each of oil, honey, and ghee, and place [the mixture] in a clean, strong jar smeared with ghee for twenty-one nights; thereafter is the administration; from the use of this, one's lifespan remains free from decay for a hundred years, [and the rest is] identical to the previous [formulation].
