One should prepare an āḍhaka of ghee with the fresh juice of āmalakīs grown in good soil, gathered in season, undamaged in smell, color, and taste, and full of juice, size, and potency, along with one-fourth part paste of punarnavā; next, with fresh juice of vidārī along with a paste of jīvantī; next, with four times as much milk and a decoction of balā and atibalā along with a paste of śatāvarī. Following this order, one should cook it a hundred times or a thousand times, and combine it with one-fourth part sugar and honey, placing it in a clean, strong golden, silver, or earthen jar seasoned with ghee. One should take it every morning according to the stated procedure, commensurate with one's digestive fire; and upon its digestion, one should eat śāli or ṣaṣṭika rice with milk and ghee.
