The herb named brahmasuvarcalā has golden latex and lotus-like leaves. The herb named ādityaparṇī is known as 'sūryakāntā', having golden latex and flowers shaped like the sun's orb. The herb named nārī is known as 'aśvabalā', having leaves like balvaja grass. The herb named kāṣṭhagodhā has the shape of an iguana. The herb named sarpā has the shape of a snake. The herb named soma, king of herbs, has fifteen segments; it wanes and waxes like the moon. The herb named padmā is lotus-shaped, red like a lotus, and smells like a lotus. The herb named ajā is known as 'ajaśṛṅgī'. The herb named nīlā has blue latex, blue flowers, and an abundance of spreading creepers. Whichever of these herbs one obtains, having drunk one's fill of its expressed juice, one should lie down naked inside a hollowed-out log of fresh palāśa wood seasoned with unctuous substance and fitted with a lid. There one dissolves, and in six months one is reconstituted; goat's milk is his restoration. In six months he becomes like a deity in age, complexion, voice, form, strength, and radiance; of their own accord, all forms of speech appear in him; his vision and hearing become divine; his speed reaches a thousand yojanas, and his lifespan is ten thousand years without affliction.
