niḥsrute laṅghitaḥ peyāmasnehalavaṇāṃ pibet/
ataḥ paraṃ tu ṣaṇmāsān kṣīravṛttirbhavennaraḥ//
Once [the fluid] has drained out, after fasting, he should drink thin gruel without unctuous substances or salt; / but from then on for six months, the man should subsist on milk.
