kālakramajñaḥ sahasā na ca takraṃ nivartayet/
takraprayogo māsāntaḥ krameṇoparamo hitaḥ//
Knowing the proper stages of time, he should not discontinue buttermilk all at once; / the use of buttermilk lasting up to a month is beneficial when stopped by degrees.
