yathāsvaṃ svaṃ ca puṣṇanti dehe dravyaguṇāḥ pṛthak/
pārthivāḥ pārthivāneva śeṣāḥ śeṣāṃśca kṛtsnaśaḥ//
The properties of the substances nourish their respective counterparts individually in the body: / the earthy nourish the earthy alone, and the remainder nourish all the remainder.
