evaṃ rasamalāyānnamāśayasthamadhaḥsthitaḥ/
pacatyagniryathā sthālyāmodanāyāmbutaṇḍulam//
Thus, situated beneath, the fire cooks the food in the digestive tract to produce rasa and waste, / just as [a fire beneath] a cooking-pot cooks water and grain to make boiled rice.
