Eaten and drunk, that soup produces inexhaustible semen.
(Thus ends the virilising buffalo soup.)
He who eats fresh fish or well-fried carp
in heated ghee would not suffer exhaustion among women.
One desiring offspring should consume rohita fish fried in ghee, in goat meat soup,
blended with fruit juice, unctuous, with soup drunk afterwards.
(Thus ends the virilising fish fried in ghee.)
One should cook pancakes in ghee from minced fish
combined with asafoetida, rock salt, and coriander, along with wheat flour.
And one should cook fish in buffalo meat soup, unctuous, sour, and salted;
when the soup is reduced, one should mash the flesh and toss in there:
black pepper, cumin, coriander, a little asafoetida, and fresh ghee;
one should prepare that as stuffing for pancakes of māṣa.
These two pancake formulations are nourishing, strength-increasing,
givers of excitement and good fortune, productive of sons, and supremely semen-increasing.
(Thus end the two virilising pancake formulations.)
A dough of māṣa, ātmaguptā, wheat, śāli, and ṣaṣṭika rice,
with powder of sugar, vidārī, and ikṣuraka,
mixed in smooth milk, one should cook into pancakes in ghee;
taken with milk as an after-drink, they quickly produce supreme virility.
(Thus end the virilising pancakes of māṣa and other ingredients.)
There should be one tulā of sugar, one of cow's ghee,
a prastha of vidārī powder, and also a prastha of long pepper,
half an āḍhaka of tugākṣīrī, and [the same of] fresh honey;
all that, thoroughly mixed, should be kept in an earthen vessel coated with ghee.
One should administer a dose of it equal to one's digestive fire every morning;
this formulation is supremely virilising, strengthening, and nourishing.
Having prepared separate decoctions in water of śatāvarī and vidārī,
as well as of māṣa, ātmaguptā, and śvadaṃṣṭrā,
and then cooking a prastha of ghee in eight times as much milk,
one desiring offspring should consume it mixed with sugar and honey.
(Thus ends the offspring-producing ghee.)
