The Compendium of Caraka 6.20.45

6.20.45

chardyutthitānāṃ ca cikitsitāt svāccikitsitaṃ kāryamupadravāṇām/
atipravṛttāsu virecanasya karmātiyoge vihitaṃ vidheyam//

And for the complications arising from vomiting, treatment should be done from their own therapeutics;
when [vomiting] is excessive, that which is prescribed for over-action of purgation should be prescribed.
