ṣaṣṭhe hikkā, bhaṅgaḥ skandhasya tu saptame 'aṣṭame maraṇam/
nṝṇāṃ, catuṣpadāṃ syāccaturvidhaḥ, pakṣiṇāṃ trividhaḥ//
In the sixth, hiccup; in the seventh, drooping of the shoulder; and in the eighth, death / for human beings; for quadrupeds it is fourfold; for birds it is threefold.
