taṃ daṃśaṃ vā cūṣenmukhena yavacūrṇapāṃśupūrṇena/
pracchanaśṛṅgajalaukāvyadhanaiḥ srāvyaṃ tato raktam//
Or he should suck that bite with a mouth filled with barley flour or dust; / then blood should be drained by scarification, cupping horn, leeches, or venesection.
