harṣaprītikathāpetamatuṣṭaṃ pānabhojane/
saṃmohakrodhanidrāntamāpānaṃ tāmasaṃ smṛtam//
Bereft of joy, affection, and conversation, unsatisfied with food and drink, / and ending in stupor, anger, and sleep—[such] a drinking party is remembered as tāmasa.
