paktisthānāttathā dosairūṣmā kṣipto bahirnṛṇām/
na pacatyabhyavahṛtaṃ kṛcchrāt pacati vā laghu//
even so the internal heat, displaced outward from the place of digestion by the humors of men,
does not digest what is eaten, or digests light food only with difficulty.
