śākārthaṃ śākasātmyānāṃ tacchastaṃ raktapittinām/
svinnaṃ vā sarpiṣā bhṛṣṭaṃ yūṣavadvā vipācitam//
that is commended as a vegetable for those sufferers of bleeding disorder who are accustomed to vegetables,
steamed, fried with ghee, or cooked in the manner of a soup.
