cchinnamūlā vidahyante na gulmā yānti ca kṣayam/
raktaṃ hi vyamlatāṃ yāti, tacca nāsti na cāsti ruk//
Once their root is severed, abdominal lumps do not become inflamed and do go to destruction;
for blood turns to excessive sourness, and when that is absent, pain also is absent.
