The Compendium of Caraka 6.9.17

6.9.17

amartyavāgvikramavīryaceṣṭo jñānādivijñānabalādibhiryaḥ/
unmādakālo 'aniyataśca yasya bhūtottyamunmādamudāharettam//

One whose speech, valour, strength, and actions are superhuman, who possesses [supernatural] knowledge and the like, understanding, power and the like, / and whose onset of madness is irregular—that should be declared as madness arising from spirits.
