dehaduḥkhabhayebhyo hi paraṃ prāṇabhayaṃ smṛtam/
tena yāti śamaṃ tasya sarvato viplutaṃ manaḥ//
For fear of death is held to be greater than fear of bodily pain; / by that, his mind that is agitated on all sides attains tranquility.
