dravakārye 'api cānukte sarvatra salilaṃ smṛtam/
yataśca pādanirdeśaścāturbhāgastataśca saḥ//
And where a liquid ingredient is unspecified, water is traditionally taught everywhere; / and where there is mention of a quarter, it is a fourth part.
