mahān sthiraḥ &sarvapacastathaiva śuddhasya peyādibhirantaragniḥ/
jaghanyamadhyapravare tu vegāścatvāra iṣṭā vamane ṣaḍaṣṭau//

becomes great, stable, and digestive of all things, just so does the internal fire of a cleansed [patient] by means of gruel and so forth. / In inferior, middling, and superior [evacuation], four, six, and eight bouts are desired in emesis;
