punarvasustantravidāha tasmai sarvaprajānāṃ hitakāmyayedam/
tryahāvaraṃ saptadinaṃ paraṃ tu snigdho naraḥ svedayitavya &uktaḥ//
Punarvasu, the knower of the treatise, spoke to him this, out of a desire for the welfare of all living beings: / A man, unctuated, should be fomented for three days at minimum and seven days at maximum; this is stated.
