agnisaṃdhukṣaṇārthaṃ tu pūrvaṃ peyādinā bhiṣak/
rasottareṇopacaret krameṇa kramakovidaḥ//
In order to kindle the digestive fire, however, the physician, skilled in the regimen, / should manage him first with thin gruel and the like, followed by meat soup in due order.
