8.2.19

ya evāsthāpyāsta evānuvāsyāḥ; viśeṣatastu rūkṣatīkṣṇāgnayaḥ kevalavātarogārtāśca; eteṣu hyanuvāsanaṃ pradhānatamamityuktaṃ mūle drumaprasekavat//

Those indeed who are fit for āsthāpana are fit for anuvāsana; especially those who are dry, those with sharp digestive fire, and those afflicted with purely vāta diseases; for in these an anuvāsana enema is said to be the foremost, like watering a tree at its root.
