tasmāt satyapi nirdeśe kuryādūhya svayaṃ dhiyā/
vinā tarkeṇa yā siddhiryadṛcchāsiddhireva sā//
Therefore, even when there is an explicit instruction, one should act after reasoning with one's own intellect;
for success achieved without reasoning is merely success by chance.
