The Compendium of Caraka 8.3.28

8.3.28

nirūhapādāṃśasamena tailenāmlānilaghnauṣadhasādhitena/
dattvā sphicau pāṇitalena hanyāt snehasya śīghrāgamarakṣaṇārtham//

With oil equal to a fourth part of the non-unctuous enema, prepared with sour and vāta-destroying drugs,
having administered it, he should slap the buttocks with the palm of his hand to prevent the rapid exit of the unctuous substance.
