vamanaṃ na tu duśchardaṃ &duṣkoṣṭhaṃ na virecanam/
pāyayetauṣadhaṃ bhūyo hanyāt pītaṃ punarhi tau//
One should not give an emetic to one who vomits with difficulty, nor a purgative to one with difficult bowels; / for the medicine, drunk again, would kill them.
