8.9.7

kiṃtvetāni viśeṣato 'anilādrakṣyāṇi, anilo hi pittakaphasamūdīraṇe hetuḥ prāṇamūlaṃ ca, sa bastikarmasādhyatamaḥ, tasmānna bastisamaṃ kiñcit karma marmaparipālanamasti/

However, these must be protected especially from vāyu; for vāyu is the cause of the excitation of pitta and kapha and is the root of life; it is most curable by enema treatment; therefore, there is no treatment equal to enema for protecting the vital points.
