sa śiro viṣavadvegī nirudhyāśu galaṃ tathā/
&trirātrājjīvitaṃ hanti śaṅkhako nāma& nāmataḥ//
That, possessing the velocity of poison, rapidly obstructing the head as well as the throat,
destroys life in three nights; by name, it is called śaṅkhaka.
