nastaḥkarma ca kurvīta śirorogeṣu śāstravid/
dvāraṃ hi śiraso nāsā tena tad vyāpya hanti tān//
And one who knows the scriptures should administer nasal procedures in diseases of the head, / for the nose is the gateway to the head; having pervaded it through that [channel], it destroys them.
