vātajaṃ śleṣmajaṃ cārśaḥ kṣāreṇāsrajapittaje .
mahānti tanumūlāni chittvaiva balino dahet .. 150 ..

Haemorrhoids born of vāta and kapha [should be treated] with caustic alkali; those born of blood and pitta, / if large and thin-rooted, one should cut and then cauterise in a strong patient. 150
