āloḍyābhyajya ca śiro veṣṭayitvā vasenniśām .
prātastu kṣālanaṃ kāryamevaṃ syānmūrdharañjanam .
evaṃ sindūrabālāmbaśaṅkhabhṛṅgarasaiḥ kriyā .. 113 ..

having anointed the head and wrapped it, one should remain through the night. / In the morning, washing should be done; in this way hair-dyeing occurs. / Likewise is the procedure done with red lead, bālāmba, conch shell, and bhṛṅgarāja juice. // 113
