tataḥ sīvya sthiraṃ kuryātsandhiṃ bandhena vā punaḥ .
madhvājyena tato'bhyajya picunā sandhiveṣṭakam .
kapālacūrṇena tataścūrṇayetpathyayāthavā .. 61 ..

Then, having sutured, he should make the union firm, or else by bandaging. / Then, having anointed it with honey and clarified butter, wrapping the union with a swab of cotton, / he should then dust it with skull-bone powder or with pathyā. // 61
