tataḥ kvāthe pādāṃśe
pūtoṣṇe prakṣipedgirijam .
tatsamarasatāṃ yātaṃ
saṃśuṣkaṃ prakṣipedrase bhūyaḥ .. 163 ..

then, when the decoction is reduced to one quarter, / strained, and still warm, the mountain-born [substance] should be placed in it. / Having become homogeneous with it and dried, / it should be thrown into the liquid again. // 163
