pañcapalādikamātrā tadabhāve tadanusārato grāhyam .
caturādikamekāntaṃ śaktāvadhikaṃ trayodaśakāt .. 45 ..
The dose is starting from five palas; in the absence of that, it should be taken according to that [standard], / from four [palas] down to one; if one has capacity, more than thirteen [palas].
